Cheo Leo Cafe was formed in 1938 and has existed for more than 80 years now. Therefore, this place is considered the oldest "racket” cafe in Saigon. This is also one of the most attractive "racket” cafes because it is located in the heart of the city, making it easily accessible.

From the moment you step inside, you are immediately transported to a different time and place. The scent of freshly brewed coffee greets you, enveloping your senses with warmth and comfort. Moreover, the atmosphere is reminiscent of a bygone era, with its vintage furnishings and old photographs adorning the walls.
 
 

The 'racket coffee' here is typically hand-roasted with salt, butter and rice wine, then brewed and filtered with strainers that resemble small butterfly nets made of cotton or muslin. Owners confirmed the coffee is "clean, with no chemicals, nor flavoring."

Tiny pots are left to settle for 10 minutes before each single serving. The procedure boosts both taste and fragrance by allowing the coffee powder to spread evenly.
